A man in the Netherlands built a full-scale model of Noah's Ark! He even put (fake) life-sized animals inside.
The ark is 150 cubits long, 30 cubits high and 20 cubits wide. That's two-thirds the length of a football field and as high as a three-story house.

Last Week's Down Gilead Lane Shocker
Well, I for one totally didn't see that one coming! Did you? Whoa.
After a pretty shocking episode last weekend of Down Gilead Lane, I wanted to post this from the CBH website. I think it does a good job putting things into perspective.
Tom Richter makes plans to spend a perfect evening with his wife to celebrate their 25th anniversary. With hopes to tell her about Jesus, all his plans get cut short with an emergency trip to the hospital. It’s a lesson about making the most of every opportunity.
How About You?
Have you ever waited too long to tell someone something important and then missed your chance?
Check This Out…
We don’t know how many days we have left on this earth. Tom Richter didn’t know that when he woke up that morning of his death that he would wake up again that day in the arms of Jesus. Tom did feel a sense of urgency to talk to his wife about Jesus, but his time was cut short before he could do it.
We might think that we have all the time in the world to tell someone about Jesus, or do this or that, but it is God who decides what will happen. Proverbs 19:21 says, Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails. God is the one who decides what will really happen, despite our best laid plans.
Ephesians 5:15 says, Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. If God is signaling to you that you should share your faith with someone you know, then go ahead and do it. We need to make the most of our time because none of us know how much time we really have left.

Launched Like a Cannonball!
A co-worker lit a pine-scented candle this morning and I feel like I've been launched head-first into the holidays already! I've been humming Christmas carols and everything else and it's only October. Someone help me!
Maybe I'll make a pumpkin pie this weekend...

Modern Day Garden of Eden
Recently I was able to make a quick trip to Indiana to visit my family. I am absolutely in love with my grandmother's backyard...I've told her it looks like the Garden of Eden when everything is in bloom.

Praising the Lord for Running Water
After almost 3 days, I finally have running water at the house again! Wow, it's amazing how we take stuff like that for granted until it's gone.
Big thanks to all the city workers who worked so hard (and are continuing to work) to get things back up and running!

What a Week!
Goodness gracious, what a week it's been. I like being able to bring you as much cool stuff as I can here on the site and I'm sorry I haven't been able to post much this week.
Labor Day Monday was good...a great day to take it easy and get caught up on several things I'd been putting off.
But then - it happened. I got a computer virus that wiped out my laptop. NOOOOO!!!! Thank the Lord, someone at WRAF was able to put my baby back together. (Props to you, Marty!!) I've spent the last two days getting everything back and I think I'm close to being done. Whew!
Believe it or not, I just bought my first Christmas present for my mom. Yay! I won't post here what it is (just in case), but I think she'll like it.
Oh, and one more little, teensy weensy thing. FOOTBALL TONIGHT! Finally...
Anyway, I hope you've had an awesome week. We've got a fun show coming up Saturday so don't miss it! See you there.
