Prince Caspian Radio Drama

Candy ... My Sweet Canine Buddy

Well, someone asked me about my sweet girl Candy, and that's all it takes to get me started bragging about her! I adopted Candy almost 4 years ago from the animal shelter when she was only 7 weeks old. Our best guess is that she is a Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix (what they called a JackRat Terrier). She's as smart as a whip and really funny. I'll tell you what...I love coming home and seeing her watching for me out the window. Every single day she greets me like I've been gone for a year! After I (we) moved about 6 weeks ago, she had a hard time adjusting but she seems to back to her normal, hyper, happy self now.

Oh! And some of you have been asking to see a few pics of my new place.

What's coming up on Saturday, April 19th

Wow! What a busy day we've had here at the WRAF studios. About 50 kids from Athens Christian School came to pay us a visit and boy did we have a blast! They're going to help "co-host" the Adventure Club this weekend (April 19th) so make sure to check that out!

Jungle Jam: Hermie has decided he doesn't want to share Gruffy's friendship with anybody. He thinks if goes around the jungle and pulls pranks on everyone, they'll get really upset and leave Gruffy and him alone.

Down Gilead Lane: Brooke is back! We'll get to find out how she's dealing with all kinds of problems with her college roommate.

Adventures in Odyssey: Lucy makes an innocent comment that leads to huge problems with three of her friends.

Paws and Tales: The huge fire that was started last week still needs to be put out. What will happen with the town finds out Hugh started it?

Jonathan Park: The mystery of McBane Manor still traps everyone inside. Will they ever find the key so they can get out??

WHEW!! I think (hopefully) the insane craziness of the past couple weeks is over! =) It's been a full, but very rewarding time. God is so good!! I'm finally moved in, which is such a blessing. Maybe I'll post some pictures when I get the chance! Would you guys like to see my new place? =) I love it, but Candy hasn't been handling the change very well, unfortunately. She's been barking at everything and isn't quite adjusted yet. Lord willing, she'll be settled in the next couple weeks!

My family came in from Indiana last week! Well, most of them anyway. My mom, grandmother, and little sister were here last Monday to Thursday. My dad just started a new job so he couldn't make it, and my younger brother had school and job responsibilities. Their visit was so great! They hadn't been here in about 5 years so I was really excited they could finally make it.

So anyway, that's what's been going on with me! =) Hope all of you are doing super well!! Send me an email or leave a comment and tell me what's going on in your life.

Big moving day!

Well, once again, let me APOLOGIZE for not being able to update more this week!! I really am sorry. Tomorrow (Saturday) is my official big moving day. I'll have about 5 people over to move all my furniture and all the heavy stuff I can't move on my own. Please be praying that everything goes smoothly. Maybe I'll try to post some pictures once things quiet down some. I enjoy decorating but the task ahead of me seems so huge I'm starting to stress out!

Hey, you guys! I'm really sorry I haven't posted more this week. I'm actually in the middle of moving so things have been CRAZY busy. =) Hopefully, I'll be all moved in a couple weeks. Be praying that everything goes smoothly! Thankfully my new place is close to my other one so it should be relatively easy.

I think this is so cool. I'm a huge animal lover and I love hearing stories about animals taking care of each other.

Pink is a small piglet being fed and raised by dog named Tink. Tink has become a very good mom to the new, strange addition to her family and is very protective of him!

AAARRRGGGHHH!!

Well, as many of you know, we had teensy weensy technical goof on Saturday! I won't bore you with all the details, but a lot of you couldn't hear me because of a problem with the mic. Sorry about that! Hopefully the problem is solved now, though. If you were one of the ones that couldn't hear me, you can always click the "listen now" button at the top of the page if you wanted to catch up on what you missed.

My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad!

I just finished watching the show "My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad." All I can say is WOW! Did you guys watch it with your family? If not, it's basically a game show with four teams. Each team has a dad and a son or a daughter. The teams perform different stunts and things together and the winning team has the chance to win a whole bunch of money.

There's not a whole lot of tv out there that I can recommend, but I thought this show was really cool in how it presented families. I actually lost count of how many times the words "I love you" were spoken between the father and children. Even when teams were "eliminated," the kids had awesome attitudes and kept saying over and over again how incredible their dads were and how proud they were even though they lost. The dads hugged their kids a LOT and were always encouraging, win or lose. And don't forget the moms! They were right there in the audience cheering their hearts out, proud as they could be.

I have no idea what future episodes are gonna be like, but I really hope we get to see more of the same good family stuff! It's about time, huh?

Good morning, you guys! We're about to wrap up another Adventure Club this BEAUTIFUL Saturday morning. Isn't the Lord just awesome to give us days like this?

Tonight it looks like I'm going to dinner with a couple friends and then coming back to my place to play some games. I'm running out of popcorn (gasp!) so I should probably go get some snack food. Junk food, games, and friends: three things that are right up my alley!
